This historical Photowalk includes 15 photographic prints and negatives depicting New York City in the early and late twentieth century. Historical Photowalks are a popular way for history lovers to explore one of New York’s exciting neighborhoods. Our website presents portraits and documentary images of New York-area buildings and street scenes from 1920 to 1960.

Researchers and history enthusiasts interested in New York City will be interested to learn what the city looked like in the past. Our small project preserves the visual history of New York before the advent of photography and captures the changing images of the city.
