For the first time, Rostec State Corporation demonstrated a functional layout of a 5G base station of domestic production. Rostelecom presented practical options for using 5G capabilities.
Rostec presented a functional layout of the base station and other domestic solutions for the construction of fifth-generation networks (5G) created by the state Corporation’s enterprises at the CIPR-2020 conference.
By 2023, the base station will be compatible with any equipment operating in accordance with 3GPP specifications (a consortium created by operators and vendors to develop mobile communication specifications).
Rostelecom and Rostec are responsible for developing a roadmap for the introduction of fifth-generation mobile networks (5G) in Russia under a trilateral agreement with the government of the Russian Federation.
